My name is Bruce Walker. I started Wisconsin Well & Water Systems in 1994 primarily to perform well inspections for real estate transactions. At the time that I passed the state exam for both my well drilling and pump installing licenses, I set state records for high scores on both exams. To my knowledge, I still hold those records. It was important to me at the time to score well as I wanted to be as knowledgeable as possible if I was going to offer that knowledge to others. As time went on, I was asked to perform more repairs and drill new wells, but I had to sub-contract a lot of that work out as I had virtually no equipment. I purchased a used trailer-mounted pump hoist and modified it so that I would be able to drive in 2" wells. I hired my first employee in January, 1997, and purchased my first "real" rig, a Bucyrus-Erie 20W cable rig later that spring. We started constructing PVC wells in 2000, and have continued to improve our operation to make it more efficient.
We are located in Adams county in south-central Wisconsin. The majority of our business is the construction of well systems for both residential and small commercial customers. Most of our work is conducted within the three innermost rings.
